Somebody Pinch Me… Seriously. Woah.

I feel like I am the definition of writers block at the moment. I can’t find the proper words to express how greatly thankful, humbled and flippin’ excited I am about the last 10 months. Tomorrow I leave for a Hawaiian vacation that we’ve had in mind for months – it was an “end of wedding season celebration” trip but I can’t actually believe at what an awesome summer it has been. I feel like I couldn’t possibly do enough beach side celebrating to fully show my joy.

To anyone who hasn’t been on this crazy journey with me, I started Bespoke Decor in January 2014 and have had the most amazing (whirl-winded) experience of my life. I never knew what to expect (and if I’m being honest, I still never know what to expect) but all I know is that it was better than I could have dreamed.

I first want to say a jumbo sized thank you to everyone who has been a part of watching this little business grow. To my family (I’m talking to you mom) and friends who pulled 24 hour days every weekend, stayed up until 6 in the morning more times than I can count, carried very heavy furniture “back a little bit, over a little bit, and then back again” and generally kept the team laughing during stressful times – thank you. I appreciate every single pep talk, “like” on instagram & facebook and just knowing that you are there to support me is the only way I could have survived this summer!

To every bride, groom, event planner, and truly kind person who had Bespoke Decor as part of your wedding or event – I can’t thank you enough. You’ve made my heart so full. When I started, I had no idea how many weddings I would be a part of but I remember saying to Charlie “if I get 35 weddings, I will be over the moon excited” and thanks to your support we were a part of 77 (SEVENTY-SEVEN!) weddings/events this summer. Holy Cow! Thank you, thank you, thank you. Your support will never be forgotten.

In addition to that amazing feat, we were proudly featured in Wedding Bells Magazine, WedLuxe, Style Me Pretty, and Glitter Guide (coming out at the end of this month!)… and more to come! I could have cried when I got that Style Me Pretty Badge. I am so thankful to the people I have met in this industry. The friendships I have gained and the support I was given was truly touching. Thank you for including me in so many inspiring photo shoots.

We are beginning to book up for 2015 and 2016 and I am so excited about the growth of Bespoke Decor. Something I didn’t imagine saying anytime soon…. we are hiring!!! We will be welcoming a Calligrapher, Florist and Decor/Admin Assistants to the team. Stay tuned for exciting changes over the winter months!

This summer was amazing in every way but also very challenging both professionally and personally. What I am most looking forward to over the next few months is simply finding time to reflect and connect with myself, my friends and family. I want to look at where I can improve, grow and challenge myself. I want to read more business books, meet inspiring people and generally just get more awesome as a small business owner.

I can’t believe tomorrow I am headed on a plane to Kauai. I might sleep in my bathing suit… that’s just how excited I am to be there!

I feel like I could never actually put into words the feelings I have right now. But when all gibberish fails, all that’s left is Thank You.

Thank you to my family.
Thank you to my friends.
Thank you to my man.
Thank you to this amazing industry.
Thank you to my brides, grooms & planners.

Ahh!! Thank you!!

Ashton
