Feature Friday: Vintage Tool Caddy

10 Great ways to use a vintage tool caddy at a wedding

Happy Friday! You know what that means, Feature Friday! It’s been a few weeks now (4 to be exact)… what are you thinking of the series? Do you have requests for items that you’d like us to write about? Please leave a comment and we’ll make it happen (because we love you that much)! Today we’re talking the simple but oh so beautifully versatile Vintage Tool Caddy. I’ve got more ideas than photos today friends (which means we have some original ideas you might not have heard before!). I can’t wait to share them with you… so let’s skip the small talk and get started!

1. Not only is this vintage caddy the perfect place to display programs… those books tied together to create a sign is just lovely!

2. We love this vintage tool caddy as a centrepiece! Overflowing with flowers is the best way to add instant luxe to any container. This one uses plenty of greens to help keep the cost down.

3. A caddy full of flowers could be used at your ceremony as decor before you transfer it to your reception as a centrepiece! They even have handy-handles for carrying.

4. That handy-handle can come in handy if you have a groomsman handing out toss confetti before the ceremony like this one. (Handy-handle… are you guys finding this as funny as I am?)

5. We’d also love to see it full of favors… switch that toss confetti for mini donuts or packets of herb seeds.

6. Another ceremony idea? You could use a small (much smaller than that giant one up there) vintage tool caddy for flower girls to carry down the aisle.

7. A Vintage Tool Caddy would also make a great holder for cards! Much better than a gift wrapped box with a slit in the top. You know what I’m talking about… I know you do.

8. It would also be a great place to hold note cards for guests to write you a sweet note! Like a modern guest book.

9. How perfect is this little caddy to hold straws at a drink station? If you were displaying straws for a large wedding, you could use a larger caddy with more mason jars (like this caddy that’s used as a writing utensil storage).

10. Last but not least- we love a display of candles! This one is magical dusted with snow. A few of these could mark the path to your outdoor reception area- or they would make gorgeous centrepieces at a winter wedding!

Do you have any ideas we didn’t think of? We’d love to hear them! What’s your favourite of the ideas? My favourite has got to be filling it to the brim with florals. There’s something so dreamy about overflowing florals!
